Moto Life

One thing that has always been a true passion of mine is motocross. I have been involved in this sport since the age of 4, and even now at 34, I haven’t stopped riding. Motocross is a significant part of my family. I started as a toddler and entered my first race when I was 5. From that moment, I was hooked. The sport itself is where my love lies—the culture, the smell of race fuel, the atmosphere, the camaraderie, and the friendships that form at every event, where everyone is united by the same passion. Motocross families support one another like no other.

We work hard and put in countless hours on our bikes to achieve our goals. Just a month off can cause you to lose the progress you’ve made, so it’s essential to stay sharp and never quit. If you love something, you should pursue it until you can’t anymore. That’s how I feel about my hobbies and the action sports I engage in. I will ride until the day I die.

Motocross has always been the biggest sport in my family, and we truly live, eat, and sleep it. The adrenaline this sport provides is exhilarating; there’s nothing quite like the feeling of hitting corners, whoops, and jumps perfectly. The effort required is incredibly tough, but I choose to ride more than I skim because it makes me feel free and in my element.

While skimboarding will always hold a place in my heart due to its fun nature, I find that pursuing a championship in it doesn’t offer the same fulfillment. I enjoy the competitions for the chance to reunite with friends and make new ones from all around the globe. When I’m on my bike, I can clear my mind of all the negativity and focus on the present, knowing that today is a beautiful day.

My advice to everyone is to surround yourself with what you love. Be around those who support you and are genuine. Doing so will open your eyes to many aspects of life, and you’ll come to respect yourself more, which will help you grow into a better human being.
